Mahmud Hossain

Mahmud Hossain serves as an advisor to the Chairperson of Grameen Telecom Trust, bringing over three decades of expertise in the realms of technology, business, policy, regulation, strategy, and management. With a distinguished career in telecommunication policy and digital infrastructures spanning 31 years, Mahmud has most recently spent over a decade to C-suite leadership roles within Grameenphone, a subsidiary of Telenor Group. Maumud holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, a MBA from Institute of Business Administration at University of Dhaka, and a Master’s degree from Concordia University, Canada. Beyond the boardroom, he channels his passion for social welfare through dedicated involvement in philanthropic endeavors, embodying a holistic commitment to both professional excellence and community betterment.
