Shararat Islam

Shararat Islam is a gender and communications specialist with deep experience working at the intersection of gender, media and humanitarian issues. She has worked for the UN, Save the Children and BRAC on a range of topics, including legislative advocacy on gender and intersectionality, refugee rights and preventing violence against women online, as well as public interest campaigns and strategic partnerships with civil liberties organisations. She is an alum of U.S. Department of State's IVLP program having completed her post-graduate degree at University of Dhaka.
