TGI’s contribution to the WSIS+20 Elements Paper

Tech Global Institute (TGI) reaffirms its commitment to inclusive, equitable, and rights-based digital governance by co-developing joint submissions to the WSIS+20 review Elements Paper through the Global Digital Justice Forum (GDJF) and the Global Digital Rights Coalition for WSIS (GDRC-WSIS). These submissions advocate for a human rights-centered and gender-responsive framework grounded in international law, demanding accountability from both states and tech companies.

The Global Digital Justice Forum (GDJF) submission challenges systemic inequities by confronting Big Tech monopolies, data extractivism, and structural barriers in connectivity, AI governance, and financing. It calls for a digital economy realigned with democratic governance, ecological sustainability, and intersectional justice. Meanwhile, the GDRC-WSIS, a coalition of civil society groups from the Global Majority and Global North, urges the WSIS+20 review to center international human rights law, meaningful multistakeholder participation, and digital inclusion as pillars of sustainable development.

TGI fully endorses these joint submissions and remains committed to advancing equitable and rights-based digital governance globally.
